Hi! I’m Joy, I’m 20 and I’ve became vegan 8 months ago. I have 2 adopted babies: Stolichnaya, a 2 year old Tuxedo cat and Starke, a 16 week old husky-sheppard-rott mix. Something just clicked in me one day and I decided to cut all animal products from my life (cold-turkey!). I read Skinny Bitch, watched several documentaries and continue to educate myself on all-things vegan. Ever since I was a kid I’ve been very sensitive to tbe suffering of animals, but it wasn’t until I watched Earthlings that I finally understood the unspeakable things happening to the innocent creatures I had spent my life consuming.Becoming vegan is one of the best decisions I will probably ever make. I finally feel like “me”. And having something so important to stand for, feels amazing! Cooking has always been one of my favorite hobbies, and being vegan has made it even better :). I absolutely adore all animals. My goals are to one day have an animal sanctuary for literally any kind of animal that needs a healthy home, as well as to have my own vegan restaurant in Orange, CA.
